P.H.D. By: Noah Eaton 12/1/08 I’ve long been convinced that the Lord doesn’t play dice, that your religion without science is blind, so what tempts you to overcook the precautionary principle, what have you got to prove by playing God all the time? Sometimes one pays most for the things, that one gets for nothing, now that your mendacity is rushing in my veins, I’m hunting high and low for infallibility. Must I crane my neck, must I get down on all fours, and soldier through these hyperbolic landmines, just to find something real in store, must everything I can’t pronounce, know how to dissimulate, and if I leap before I look, please pray I won’t run astray, with this artifice burning in my veins. Imagine something you can’t metabolize, a migraine you can’t dissolve, something God himself could not devise, nor know how to resolve, make no mistake we’ll always be just skin and bones, but are we still living hand to mouth, when our sages can’t hear the impulse of the verdant wood, and sunshine has a budget tearing the seas out. Must I crane my neck, must I get down on all fours, and soldier through these hyperbolic landmines, just to find something real in store, must everything I can’t pronounce, know how to dissimulate, and if I leap before I look, please pray I won’t run astray, with this artifice burning in my veins. I’ve long been convinced that the Lord doesn’t play dice, that your religion without science is blind, so what tempts you to overcook the precautionary principle, what have you got to prove by playing God all the time? If you’re going to let Nature have her way, God knows she wants no part in this, if you’re going to let Nature have her way, God knows she wants no part in this… "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" Mother Teresa |

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww, thanks for both your kind words! (friendship group hugs) ^__^ The acronym title by the way is completely relevant to the poem but I have decided to refrain from divulging yet as I wanted to see what everyone came up! =) Sincerely, Noah Eaton (Mistletoe Angel) "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" Mother Teresa |

Pride Hath it's Demons? Prose Hindered Dementia? Posibilities, Hidden in Depth? We could have fun with this. Nice, right? LOL. WT. |

Those are great educated guesses! Let's just say your first guess would make a great alternate representation of the acronym, as the poem is a fierce critique on pride in some respect. ...well, I'm not wise enough to solve your riddle, but I did find this bit of sagery (not really a word) uber cool: "Sometimes one pays most for the things, that one gets for nothing" |

quote: A most impressive write, dear Noah! Your mind works in amazing ways and I think God loves your ways! I wish human nature would discover the true power of love and invest in true evolution, not in destruction of each other. We are meant to explore the vastness of Universe, but we are still unable to feed our fellow travelers down here ... because we fight each other instead of loving each other. Love, Margherita |
