Lines in the sand,
reminiscent
of water
caressing the shore.

Stones placed strategically
alongside meticulously pruned
dwarf trees,
mirroring nature's
tranquility.

Zen moment.

Yo Kacy,

This is very lovely.  It sounds like you are into Bonsai.

Kacy,

This is so beautiful.   I think I finally understand Zen Gardens enough to want to learn about them.

What a serene and lovely moment. It must come from a special place.

This describes the basic physical setting of a Zen garden, where tranquility and oneness with the universe prevail.
Thanks for the replies.

Kacy, may you have a long lifetime of Zen moments way, way, way into a healthy future - as I suspect you have in the past.

I have a minature one of these on my desk and "yes" raking the sand to perfection can help create a wonderful zen moment.  Wonderfully portrayed and I could see it clearly

Kacy, I need more Zen moments like the one you so serenely described.

A few years back, I was sitting in my easy chair in quiet reflection, when my eyes were drawn to the credenza and upon it sat the most beautiful bonsai tree. But in actuality, there was nothing there! The vision remained with me through to the next day when I walked into a shop and the first thing that I spied was a gorgeous Italian ceramic bonsai tree! Yeppers! I bought it and promptly returned home and set it atop the credenza where it rightly belonged!

I love your writing and your spirit.

Love,
Linda

Beautiful.

Sometimes it is these moments that help us to get through the less-than-zen times in life. Being away from these blue pages I have missed so much but, certainly now, I am praying for you, you health, and a future full of these peaceful, delicate, beautiful moments of life.

Thank you for this, Kacy!  I definitely need to find more Zen moments in my life.  I had them once if I recall correctly but life has sort of banished them.  Lovely write!  My best to you.

Together with you, dear Kacy, I perceive this zen moment and feel at peace. True essentiality when we are close to Spirit Divine.

Wonderful.

Love and hugs.

I very much appreciate the image created! thanks for sharing....but perhaps, and i don't wish to offend...the term 'zen moment' is a little simplistic and one of those times where a term has become... 'misappropriated' Zen refers to mahayana Buddhist teachings. But that's just me..

Thank you each.
For a fine example, google the Zen garden at Nanzen-ji, a Buddhist monastery in Japan.
