It’s late,
on a hot,
noisy,
stuffy,
August,
urban night.

Bones is hanging out
alone on the corner.

Bones is doing nothing,
just hanging out.

A police car drives up,
the police ask Bones
to come with them.

Bones is stuffed
into the caged
back seat.

The police
don’t need a reason
to take Bones.

Bones is way
at the bottom
of the food chain.

He’s taken
to the police station,
and locked-up
for vagrancy.

Bones thinks
this is supposed
to happen.

Bobby

Sad,

I think that culture shocks are difficult to understand.  In the Twin Cities alot of young boys take the bus to the cities and just hang out after school.  They make allot of poeple nervous, but I have never been bothered by them.  I avoid the ones that eye me down lol, but the boys are always sweat.

Thanks dear Juju,

For reading and commenting.

Of course Bones is a city boy.  He's hanging out on his own corner.

I'd never write about anyone from outside the city.  I don't know anything about that life.

well I don't understand why they would lock Bones up for doing nothing but minding his own business...  some people aren't very nice at all .... for Bones... love RDB

Thanks dear RDB,

During the summer the police have a mobile police station parked at the playground across the street.  Our kids here in the hood, such as Bones, have a bad reputation.

Sometimes I think the police have an agenda based on self-perpetuation.

I don't have any problems with the police, they have done loads of good stuff for me, and they try to befriend the kids here.

Probably they fed him at least, before wanting to know what he was doing there alone.

Very sad. Yet our Bones seems to cope well enough with his daily challenges.

Love,

Thanks dear Margherita,

Yes, the police fed Bones.  Bones says the food wasn't very good, and he didn't like it.

However, we have to remember, jails are not supposed to be pleasant experiences.  You're not supposed to enjoy yourself.
