Decline ivy covers the tower in which you look down from running it’s tendrils through every pore of your mortar brick by brick you have built an untouchable masterpiece ugliness is covered so carefully to disguise what lurks underneath poisoned vine of such disgrace grown over creeping root climbers temporary spin of entanglement blackened lace of dark spider web eve of decline, a gardener will come to prune this overwhelming weed shinning light on a wall weakened and damaged in flimsy stem support a new day is on the way in reconstruction life will begin again out of dust and rubble when the ivy is removed from the tower in which you look down from "no darkness has ever been deep enough to extinguish my personal knowledge of love" Anne Rice |

Powerful, dear Helen! Great metaphor for a situation that seems to affect individuals as well as the whole world. Masterfully expressed decline and all overpowering trust for rebirth. Thank you, dear Poetess. Love, Margherita |
