I want
To do this god
That says it’s good
To kill
Even women
And children

I want
My knife
At his throat

I want
To watch him
Die

I felt so uninformed before reading your insightful work...though I have a good friend who lives and works in India (and for several months he has been emailing and documenting the persecution there) I still was unaware of the meaning of Mumbai.  Thank you for making me find out what you were referring to...I appreciate it

The only God I know of is the God of the living.
Thank you for visiting my own poetic pages here.

John,

Having many old friends and businness associates in Mumbai, I agree with you 100%.

Mumbai has always been one of my favorite cities, full of wonderful people.

I talk to a lady from Mumbai on another site
and I haven't heard from her since the attack. I hope she is okay. Such madness.

Some things I will never understand
I guess that makes me dumb

There's a lot of madness that I don't understand right now.  I feel like I just can't grasp the assault of violence and greed.

I work with a lady from India. Her brother travels a lot and it took a while to reach him. Her family was lucky - he had checked out of the Taj less than 12 hours before the attacks.

I'm not sure even the sharpest of knives could rid the world of all its insanity... but I understand this sentiment!
