Even though she has his soul and love
She has no trust of him to think of,
A serious wedge between their relationship
Her love for him is preparing to slip

Damaged at best, she’s not sure what to do
Everything that used to be is suddenly untrue
She wishes he could see the way she loves him;
He only guesses on a random whim

She is finding herself on this journey
He is losing her love with certain guarantee
They will drift away from one another
But inside they will always love each other.

Love without trust is bound to wither ...

True love is unconditional. We can't possess each other's soul, but we can be aware of being one.

Your last line suggests there is hope to mend.

Melancholic reflections, well rendered.

Love,
Margherita

I am mastered totally by Love."
