Life's Canvas Life's canvas stretches before me, the paint slowly drying, having formed a familiar design from unfolding experiences. Into the waning light pensively I journey, my picture almost complete but for some final brush strokes. Expected images are there: of a mother's tender love and food on a table of scrapes and bruises earned along a sinuous pathway in carefree days of youth: these form the edge of my canvas. Pointing to the centre are struggles for independence, then the broader view of life as I turned away from man's world to nature's paradise: mountain sheep gracefully leaping from cliff to cliff; eagles soaring ever higher across stark blue sunlit skies; leaves drifting softly through uplifted branches; brown eyes shyly smiling in the noonday shade. I made myself one with these impressions of life and now I've reached the center ready to unfold to the edges once again. |

What a bountiful canvas, shimmering with profound personal markers along life's pathway, straightforward even as it meanders through society's complex jungle of distractions. |

this is very, very fine! I am especially fond of the beginning: "Life's canvas stretches before me, the paint slowly drying, having formed a familiar design from unfolding experiences. Into the waning light pensively I journey, my picture almost complete but for some final brush strokes." most serious and sustained applause for this 'penning'! |

Yo WindWalker, This is fine work. Everyone has their own canvas. Mine is quite different frm yours, However, they are both beautiful--they are all beautiful, everyones. Bobby |

Outstanding. Personally can relate to the retreat into simpler nature. Excellent imagery. I always enjoy your works. ;0 |

One Who Walks With the Wind, your "Life's Canvas" is extraordinary and is being saved to my library as well as to a special folder of poetic, spiritual treasures on my computer. There are several of yours there. ~ I hope you don't mind. God bless you, EA |
