Ebon night eclipses dreary day as darkness falls over my world. It reminds me how all dreams decay, a swift decline to base reality and desperation held at bay. Fading hopes flicker in the waking dawn. It seems my heart is an unwilling victim, thrust forward like an expendable pawn, all tied up and inextricably linked with dreams that have come and gone. Life goes on, a carousel ride encircling the object of memories. I remember you here by my side, showing clearly the shape of tomorrow, a vision, a dream that couldn't be denied. What of the promises you never kept? It's been many years since that day. Not a day has passed I haven't wept, dreaming of you, sweet dreams of youth, lost dreams that haunted me as I slept. What of the dream we shared as one? I can't bear the weight, this burden, alone in the shadow of the sun. Night is falling as darkness closes in, and now, I realize, the dream is done. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; |

the emotions here are so raw... I liked this best... "Life goes on, a carousel ride encircling the object of memories. I remember you here by my side, showing clearly the shape of tomorrow, a vision, a dream that couldn't be denied." |
