Where are you going?smiles.. You've left your beautiful marks upon the world, by posting us your wonderful poems to read, forever burned in the hearts of time, stamped to the end of eternity.. Shucks.. yeah.. I reckon you'd be missed for the beauty that you share,smiles.. |

wonder if I read into your work more than you intend sometimes...this one could have such a deeply religious overtone to it...a 'more than sparrows' knowledge of man by his God...that would leave each of us in memory...at a higher level than we could ever imagine...but, then, I ramble... |

. Thank you both But Steaven: “wonder if I read into your work more than you intend sometimes” The hand is on a man who has far less years than he has already lived left. He of his own present has nothing to say. He is merely a scribe writing down what the past has to say. Thanks again John . |

John, Someone once told me that if only one person read your work after you were gone, you'd never be forgotten...if that's true, I would venture that you will likely be long remembered...always, for my part, look longingly for works with your name on them...appreciate your vast talent more with each new read |

John, You sent me scurrying to dig up my collection of Hiroshige prints from my last working visit to Japan twenty odd years ago, however, I couldn’t find them. Bobby |

Soooo much, in so few words - beauty; mortality; immortality; heritage; your love for the fragile, vulnerable, inconspicuous to some, darling little sparrows; a beautiful (presumably minimalist) print; the memories it holds for you; the fear of them dying with you; and a very original and perfect poem. One of the best of your very best, perhaps the very best of your best! - Owl |

I think you'll remember when you're gone, John. How could a conscience that could write this poem just cease to exist. Ida |
