Paper Needs my thoughts have paper needs pressing my heart against it inkprint each sheet wears a piece of me upon it where I leave the proof of my existence words appear from nowhere totally intimate a simple bond colored from black and white looking at the pen that composes me I am simply stirred from an ocean of feelings much too tender green for some things steel stubborn unmoved in my beliefs begging at times for wisdom to understand and write myself in this ink to heal "no darkness has ever been deep enough to extinguish my personal knowledge of love" Anne Rice |

The ink, the pen and the paper seem to have a consciousness of their own and perhaps they do... I enjoyed your awareness of that fact Helen. Hal |

You and I, both. I sure like that the way you wrote this. |

"my thoughts have paper needs" ~ spoken, I mean "written", like a true poet! I enjoyed this "Poet Poem" and am adding it to other fine ones that I have collected! ![]() ![]() ![]() Linda |

I agree with Linda. This is a poet's poem and a good one at that. Ida |

your words certainly make sense to any of us who write poetry. it kind of possesses you whether you are ready for it, it just appears and you have to write it |

We all write our own life story day by day by the choices we make as each opportunity offers us that. Poets actually pen it on paper and you showcased that so well in this piece. Your wording and thoughts we very well organized in this piece and it allows the reader to follow it, embrace it, and own it in heart. One of your best I have read and much worth the read. |

i'm sure my thoughts have paper needs too... but i haven't picked up a pen in ages. maybe that's why get headaches... :P sometimes you can't understand things until after you write them down. i really really liked this. The soul is oftentimes a battlefield where reason and judgement wage war on passion and appetite. |
