      Winter Woods

Hide not the moon
with a crooked thumb,
nor view this universe
through the hollow reed
of human desires.

Instead...wander freely
through these lustrous
deep Winter woods,
breathing the pure-bracing
  calm and peace
of a hundred thousand
  stalwart trees.

Here...there is no
well entrenched evil
to mask all truth
and beguile the
virtuous seeker.

Sigh, how I would like to do that!

Awesome, dear Bruce!

Bruce,

How I love the 'crooked thumb' and the peace of the winter woods.  I miss walking in woods with soft snow on them .. the snow where I am now is different.  It's dry and squeeky and not like the snow in the woods that I once loved so much.

I am rambling, aren't I.
