The settlement house
has an arrangement
with the University
for a Summer Camp
for the settlement house kids.

Bones gets permission from Mom,
and off he goes to camp.

It’s out in the woods,
and it’s scary at night.

It’s a lot of fun,
most of the time.

When Bones gets back to the hood
he has a lot of stories to tell.

Bobby

Thanks Dear Juju,

It was mostly a good time for Bones--kinda.

Wonderful that Bones had these stories to tell, but, yes, I can understand that there were some painful ones he didn't . . .

Hugs and smiles for Bones

Bobby when I was young... I was sent to Health Camp.. which kinda is like a Summer Camp for sickly kids I guess.. for the whole 6 weeks I fretted for my parents... but by the end of the 6 weeks they sent me back looking healthy so I guess it worked... I liked your story about Bones' summer camp .. thank you love RDB

Thanks dear Owl,

Well, you know how it is.  No experience is perfect, and things do happen.

Thanks dear Ida,

Yes, Bones had fun at camp.  When he got home, he offered his final judgement of the woods.

"It's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there."

Bones deserved to have some joy in his life and to get out in nature.

I enjoyed my summer camp experiences as well ~ Brownie, Girl Guide, Youth and Spiritual camps.

Well, I'm not saying they were totally idyllic, but like Bones, I had some interesting stories to tell.

Thanks dear Linda,

I'm glad that you enjoyed your summer camp, as did Bones, for the most part.

Love Bobby
