Bones doesn’t mind
having people
hate on him.

No,
that doesn’t bother him
one little bit.

People have been
hating on him
all his life.

Bones has always been
looked upon
as a rather major
inconvenience,
yeah,
right from the start.

When he was born,
it was decided
that it was way too
inconvenient
to take him to the Church
to be baptized.

So his Mom invited the priest
to come over to the house
and do the job.

She couldn’t pay anyone
to even stand for the kid.

Now don’t go getting
the wrong impression
that that bothers Bones.

No,
he really doesn’t give
a rat posterior
about stuff like that.

A person can’t be bitter
about anything.

There’s no money in it.

Bobby

Hi Bobby..
I don't think anyone hates bones.. Its such sad tales he shares.. It makes people feel bad.. seeing all the hurting and the wrongs.. when someones hurting, especially a child.. I wanna help repair him and right all the wrongs.. but when its beyond my control, and hurting is all we can feel and do.. I wish him to be gone,sigh.. Another harsh look at reality, I pray for him be strong.. Although somethings we should not share, some harsh reflection with the majority, as some have walked the path you speak and are not very strong.. Thanks for sharing this with me.. I pray for your growth every day..

Great poem. I really like this one.

Stanza 8 needs a fixin', dear rob-bob.

Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand.

Thanks Paul,

For your very kind words on this poem.

I hope I've found the error in stanza eight, I think I did.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Bobby

I don't think anyone hates Bones either, certainly not anyone at PIP. There's no money in it.

Thanks dear Ida,

The phenomenon of hatred of the less fortunate is a concept I’ll never understand.

Ouch (to the poem, not your last comment, Bobby)!  You sure said more than you said!

My, the sting is certainly strong. It is a stroke of reality when one realizes that such cases are common in the world today.

Shouldn't it say "a rat's posterior" instead of "a rat posterior" in stanza 9?I'm not sure since it's up to the author how they wish to write the poem...

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks dear HeliaHeart,

You are correct.  I'll have to change it in the original.  It's too late to change it here.
