The House Of My Heart.

Open the door and step inside
I'll show you around, I've got nothing to hide
This entryway is where I spend most of my time
That way I can protect what is mine.

Let's start over here on the right
This wing is airy, open, and bright
The first room here is where the kids stay
I like to sit and watch them play

Across the hall over there
Are all the rooms my family members share
Brothers and sisters, and of course mom and dad
They are going nowhere, and for that I'm glad

The revolving door over here
Is for the friends I hold so dear
They are free to come and go as they please
Before they leave I give them a little squeeze

Let's move along, there is so much more to discover
Behind that door is my secret lover
And see the door painted black?
People go through it and they never come back

Now let's go down these stairs
This is the cold dark dungeon of despairs
I come down here when I'm feeling mean
I discovered it when I was just a teen

Those that cause me misery and pains
Hang from the ceiling bound in chains
I torture them and feel no remorse
For they showed me none, on life's rocky course

Come now, we need to go
There is so much more, to you I will show
See the wing on the left over yonder?
That is where I allow my good feelings to wonder

Now let's go up this staircase
Bet you never knew it was such a big place
Up here is where I keep lovers past
There were quite a few that didn't last

The attic door is over by that ladder
It is full of memories and things that really matter
Move on down the hallway there
You'll see a door marked "Handle with care"

That my dear is where love used to stay
I opened the window and he flew away
People tell me he will come back
I know this, 'cause he didn't bother to pack

Move along, no time to stall
Your room is at the end of this hall
I fixed it up the best I could
Seems like you might be here for good

Of course I'll have to lock the door
I just can't afford to loose anymore
And maybe someday you'll want to play
I'll open the window and we'll both fly away

Meanwhile, you will stay in the house of my heart
Where I decide when people depart
So relax and try to have some fun
This tour is over, finished, done.

The tour may be over but the journey could be a long one.  The whole piece flowed smooth from one room to another along with the images of thought.  Well done.

Falling rain jealousy is such a waste of energy, if your gonna be passionate move right into hate, But love takes and equal score, so maybe this would be more fun,chuckles.. Thanks so much for your high praise..

Aren't you the wise one,smiles.. Thank you Mark for sharing thoughts.. Yes, the journey will be a long and winding one..
