Alone With His Guitar

Any help he refuses
He thinks what's the use
Lost interest and withdrew
Becoming a recluse

Closed everyone out
Yet he has not said why
Others cannot get through
Access he will deny

Keeping his silence
Its not how he used to be
All his reclusive behaviour
Remains a mystery

Alone with his guitar
Is it helping him to cope
Was he singing the blues
With continued hope

It sure leaves a lot of unanswered questions, when they don't talk, huh? Beautifully written, as usual, Hope.

This one speaks to frustrations and pity---wanting to help, but if they don't give you a handle, what can you do?

A wonderful snapshot of a reclusive spirit who has the music and melody, but perhaps, does not yet have the words to express the depth of his emotions.
Good to read you again, Hope

there are many like that for whatever their reason and sometimes that's the way they prefer it to be.

HopeS - when I'm down and feeling blue I pick up my guitar and play. It seems to help immerse one into another world...

It was an interesting read. It seems sad that there are people like that in the world but if they do not want to take any help offered them then there is nothing that can be done, no?
Beautiful, thank you for sharing.

Dear Hope, the mind is a strange thing indeed and something so complex we will never know what makes it tick, we must just accept certain things and somehow understand through the worry. Well expressed my friend.

So melancholic, but as long as he plays the guitar there is still joy in his life. Beautiful, compassionate write, dear Hope!

...not a better reason to sing the blues than for hope...well-crafted, well worth the read...
