Mona Lisa,
Goddess sprawled in satin sheets;
her skin glistens of disappointments and hopes
she's fragile, yet strong
she wants you, but she'll never let you know
she'll smile and act nonchalant;
when you tell her that she's beautiful
but, she'll linger for awhile inside her mind;
resisting the urge to pull you in closer,
hiding behind laughter and sex appeal
if she were to fall,
she wouldn't give you the chance to catch her,
she's vulnerable,
because, she thinks if she lets you in, you'll disappoint her tomorrow

The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we are alone.

Kirsten,

that's one of the best interpretations I've seen in quite a while of whom she might have been.

Well done!

Well done, yes. Of course I think we should never anticipate disappointment and then withdraw from something that might well evolve into something gratifying and beautiful. Fear of suffering has deleterious effects.
