Apiary

If my arms, as dormant flowers, limp in November cold
Still so close inside my heart, your essence would I hold
Should my eyes cloud over, grey as the winter skies
Forever would I see your smile, all that my dreams comprise
That the stone of granite cliffs might stay my legs inert
Fly I will beside your laughter, glide each morning sunrise skirt
This I know and all I hold, in times of hollow din
A lifetime’s love my only treasure carried deep within
As every muscle, all my might for now in supple blooms
In epic writes the winds of change, about time’s moonlit rooms
Though I may be of simple mind, the softer sounds of joy
Mistake it not a plainer thing than mysteries employ
For where you are, and all you are, a song within my soul
As clear and true as chapel bells, the fields and forests toll
If only this, a place made gold of combs in honey heat
Then every taste, by far and all, most certain to be sweet

ThisDiamond - I'm in awe of this writing of yours. Romantic, loving, caring, and from the inside of a warm heart. You may write words like this for me to read anytime. Lovely, just lovely...

Yo ThisDiamond,

This is very good work.  I used to keep bees when I lived in the country.

Exquisite!  I so wanted this to be a sonnet, but would not sacrifice any 2 of the lines or the couplet rhyming scheme so deliciously suited to your poem.
