       Fate's Last Horizon

On such a sad, grey November
   day,
along this weary-forest way
of withered leaves and fading
   dreams
swirl-dancing in the wintry
   wind,
one thinks of all that was...
and 'might have been',
(if only Time had been a 'friend')
before far too much was forever
   lost...
beyond fate's last horizon.

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

This is very well put.  It's a universal lament of older human kind.

Yes, it is a chilly damp day, and time seems to mock us on days like this.
But I am rejoicing, excited with our new Presidential selection, and find this November day offers great Hope and abundant warmth of positive, good feelings.
It's a good day to be alive!!!

Bruce,

Thank you for "you".  Thank you for the poetry.  Thank you for sharing parts of yourself.  Thank you for the encouragement and friendship.  Thank you for your kindness.

I love this poem.

Do you see how you ultimately transform the cold and sad November day into beauty?

Oh, Kacy, I love your reply too! How true!!

Love,
