The presence of the air
the force
the scare.

I can sense it coming
feel it
expect it.

The warning rolls in
so loud
so eerie.

It's the after effect
that stops
my heart.

I just watched a show about tornadoes.  This makes me think of the build up of the storm and then the beginning of the funnel, the devastation and the power.

caught me when you said that, nakdthoughts. My grandfather, many years ago, passed due to his heart stopping when losing a large amount in the stock market crash of 85?86?

an alternative meaning for me now, thanks
