how do you pronounce Seattle ?
is it see a turtle
or see a tattle ?
rather listen to isn’t it ?
how do you pronounce Seattle?
is it sea at tale
or sea e tell ?
While discussing with pupils
I see nobody knows
but everybody does…

As in real life
the town keeps busy
and don’t care about thoughts.

For me it's pronounced "adopted hometown."  It's a beautiful place full of mists and skyscraping cedars in the midst of buildings that gleam green in the overcast light.  Although I will probably never live there again I still think of it fondly as a place in my foundation.

Yann,

My daughter and her family used to live in Seattle.  It's one lovely town that reminds me of Philadelphia.

Yann - My son lives in Seattle.  It is a beautiful place and one where I think the people aren't too busy to care.  Enjoyed your thoughts.

We don't care how you pronounce Seattle as long as you recognize her as the beautiful city she is. Joyce

There is a song with a verse that states,
" The bluest skies I've ever seen, are in Seattle"

I always wonder if there is a Seattle, Kansas?  Or if the song writer just happened to be there on an OFF DAY.

OH, By the way, One more thing,  Make sure you stop and smell the coffee.
It's famous up that-a-way.

Thanks WTB, I wish he was talking about Big Seattle in in W.S...I have always been impressed by the number of same name cities in US, it's rather confusing.

thank you for your kind comment.

Thank you James for recalling the windy city, I think winters are softer in North West
