chandelier teardrops fall
into a pool
of molten starlight
and disappear

inside, pain explodes
spiderwebs of white light
the cold fingers that touch
cannot soothe

milky pools of liquid soul
pleading with their reflection
trying to fill the emptiness
with their own blood

watch strangers pass by
faces painted with broken dreams
see the crumbling headstones
decorated by dead flowers

picking up the pieces
of the shattered mirror
maybe if we try
we can put them back together

such a sad song
on the blue
perhaps we can
let the light return

first let me welcome you to PiP, and then let me say how much I liked your write...it is really good...so much depth in your word choices...so much creativity in crafting your phrases...so many places to highlight, but this one is outstanding:

"milky pools of liquid soul
pleading with their reflection"

"milky pools of liquid soul
pleading with their reflection"

Great phrasing here, and I enjoyed the positive ending, too.
