we set our watches to be misconnected
as is seemed our agendas had grown different
from the other places we had placed them

I didn't mind you in your levi thigh highs
and the fishnet ballet overalls at all
when your eyes were closed around mine

and you came just because you liked to come
not because you thought you could fix me
although I did tell you how, but you didn't want to

and there would always be excuses for that
it is part of the proper side scenerio
which is why I never dated billboards before

or took candy from mothers of another's babies

a very mysterious (and astute ) portrait of the new generation.
Very apt (and communicative phrases):
"watches...misconnected" and "not because you thought you could fix me." I enjoyed this immensely.
