follows the sun, so comes the moon
in stealth-like silence slipping softly by
shadows of reflections like still-life waters
ebbing its flow across night's sky

moon-lit measures of pallid light
shining bravely, surely beaming
casting spells like skipping stones
on mirrored faces of soft lake's gleaming

follows the sun, so comes the moon
as night-shades drift through autumn days
cool eves glow with heaven's blessings
as seasons change their ordered ways

they sit and they watch nature's fresh play
as the setting of sun ends life's short day

he reaches for her hand as she does his
and they know without words what love really is

Well, dear Steaven, you have outdone yourself with this wonderful moon-love-write.

A keeper.

They need no words, but good for us that the Poet shared them.

Love,
Margherita

I loved the skimming stones on the face of the lake...hands speak a language deeper than any other.
Beautiful write.

WT,
so glad you liked it...thank you so much

TD,
in that we are kindred spirits...I liked the skipping stones too, but I must admit, I hadn't thought of the language of the hands until you brought it up...as always, you are so insightful

Lindsay,
I am honored by your gracious compliment...thanks
