morning kiss |

he sits alone at early dawn as rays like arrows pierce the trees with bean-filled cup in wearied hand and quiver full of sorrowed pleas a sullen smile paints his face the rising sun its circuit starts the warmth of hope begins its bloom as chariot-sun hurls its darts the grass is licked with morning's dew a cold, sweet kiss with frozen lips evening's pearls are left to shine as nature's glow like nectar drips and peace hovers close like the meadow's mist while the sun bends nigh for its morning kiss |
