can't wait for the rain, my love, can't wait can't find time for the tears to flow, can't wait no time for cleansing, no time for refreshing can't wait for the rain, my love, can't wait my heart beats to the patter of the drizzled rain consoling, slyly beating, feigning its rhythm like the gentle spin of a weather vane in a soft summer breeze at the dusk of day can't tell the diff'rence 'tween the heart-flow and the pitter-pattern of the clouded tears sounding like the soft rain's gentle breath still can't wait for the rain, my love, still can't wait and the wise man cries what the sage writes down can't wait for the rain, my love, can't wait |

What more can a girl from Oregon ask for than to inspire a poem called "Can't wait for the rain." I am honored to have inspired your beautiful words. Ida |

Loved the rhythm of this one, as you do such justice to the patter of the rain. Lovely inspired write. |

RDB, you are so very kind and gracious with your generous comments...glad you liked it Ida, simply my pleasure, but then again, your words captured my thoughts...should have challenged you to follow your words to fruition...now that would have been good TD, if you think that the rhythm captured the rhythm of the rain, then I can feel like I succeeded...surely appreciate your kind comments |

Enjoyed this, Steaven! When we feel we can't wait for something then we are forced to learn the lesson of patience - just seems to work that way I think. Helen |
