 I am just a leaf, flying high upon the wind, my destination unknown, the wind carries me, strong, hard, yet gentle, lifting me up beyond, hope I see in the distance, new journeys await me, high above the past, dancing to lifes rhythm, swirling and twirling, in peacefulness, happiness, the sun, the moon, stars, once out of reach, now I can touch them,  floating slowly away, with star dust glitter, sparkling all over me, Now I am glowing, flowing, moving across the blue skies, freedom like I have never known, All that time, hanging on a tree, limited to what I could be, now I am a glittering leaf, above it all, I fly free, I just might land on your shoulder!  |
