leather sphere against the wood I know that it is fall golden leaves waft soft unto the ground I know that it is fall piling high like pyramids on desert plains I know that it is fall a solemn limb slips through the trees I know that it is fall soon the carpet will be laid the blower will be out with rakes and brooms and tools of fall a rush to clean the downspout out a crush, a swoosh, a flap amidst the sounds of crackling branches, of breaking leaves of clippings scattered round about like wintered wheat in stoic sheaves the nest of bird and squirrel's home can now be seen I know that is is fall |

Yo Steavenr, You have the right idea. Hows about my Philly's--HUH? All the Ginko trees on my street were cut down in the Spring, so I don't get to sweep any leaves up off the street. I miss those Ginko trees, but not the smell of their fruit, which smelled like human vomit. The city claimed that they cut them down to keep the kids in the hood from being beat when they would drag the smell into the house from their shoes. Bobby |

Dear Steaven, this is a very beautiful write, you succeeded in conveying the charming atmosphere of fall. A peaceful piece, that makes me feel in harmony with the season. Love, Margherita |
