The current of your river is constant and swift until it curves lazily past willow tree touches on beaches where stones have been reduced to mineral grains glinting in the sunlight and god is a dragonfly's wing frozen in flight until I exhale below dark waters and breathe you in once more. Indigo |

There is just something about a river... this was deftly sweet but astute. Like you've been river fishing all your life, and knowing its ways... Lovely! |

Double X- How can a one word comment be so sweet? Many thanks. I.G.- Glad you like. High praise from a nature gal such as yourself. :-) Scoff- Nice to see you here. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and feelings. Serenity- Nature's perfect design offers both fisherman and lover the vehicle to express their spiritual connection to this earth. Thank you for your kind words. Indigo |

A pleasurable read, especially enjoyed this: "and god is a dragonfly's wing frozen in flight" |

Midnite- There are so many places in nature to catch a moment of grace and meditation, aren't there. Am smiling that you caught one of mine. Blues- Happy to take you traveling like a leaf on my river of a poem. :-) Indigo |

Indi does her river like whispering silk across broken glances. Covering the jagged and undoing the perfect currents. |

A wonderful metaphor for what the depth of a relationship can be or become. Loved the contrast between the heights referencing the dragonfly and the depths of narrator as amphibian. Isn't it amazing what love can grow into - what a tadpole can become...as a mature extension of being. |
