I am here, the same spot where we met;
  I have staked claim to this piece of sand.

It is comfort and serenity,
  as I walk the shores that surround it.

The air is warm and the sun is shining,
  melts away all of my worries and opens doors.

I come here often as I can,
  it is my place of inspiration.

A place where I am free and my mind is at ease,
  to ponder the world and life at will.

I look out and see the waves crash,
  and watch the people go by.

There is a story in it all,
  I pick and choose which to capture.

I staked my claim to this spot in the sand,
  it is where I go to become inspired.

Freedom is an amazing gift!!!

Loved the poem.

Loved this line... "There is a story in it all,
I pick and choose which to capture"

And loved the great concluding line.

yes indeed Miss Lisa, freedom is an amazing gift! Being in jail taught me that and I will never take it for granted again!

Thank you all for your words again of support for my writes. I love this spot on the sand where I go, it is always peaceful there no matter what. I was just there this weekend sharing it with an old friend.
