“ONCE IN THE NIGHT”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Once in the night when moonbeams
shone upon your face your
eyes sparkled with the
light and they danced with ecstasy,
you said love me,
and I did.
Once in the night when moonbeams
kissed the ocean your loving
thoughts spoke to me,
my heart danced with ecstasy,
and with longing.
Once in the night when lips touched
and met with wanting desire,
our breath was taken back
within each, and breezes out
of the shadows danced
to soft whispers in rhyme.
Once in the night when we met
in lover’s rhapsody you
said love me, and I did for
the first time with
hearts beating together, and
in the night's glow
all your
warmth sang in melody...
Bill,
Looks like B.C. is good for your heart. The romantic side at least. I'm a native Washingtonian and am persuaded that where you are now is like Washington, only a little more so. Now how can you go wrong with that? Besides you're near Sharon. Now I really am jealous!
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
Larry - Yes, B.C. seems to be good for a lot of things, romance in the mountains, wow. Can't go wrong up here, just too beautiful for words.
H'mmmmmm, Sharon be here?
Alison - Glad you enjoyed the read, more to come...
Marge - At times I wonder where those thoughts come from, must be a romantic muse in there somewhere.
Good to see you also...
BC - I enjoyed your poem very much and the comments.  You don't know where it comes from?  I can answer that if you'd like but not wanting to wait for a reply I'll tell you that it comes from "love".  Yeah - it's always around making sure its message gets across.
