Windsong

The tinkle of the wind chimes
As they sway in the breeze
Not bound by our convention
They play the songs they please.

Notes of an unknown tune
Never to be heard again
Picked out by natures breathing
That thing, we call the wind.

They can play something happy
Or something sad and low
A song that we've never heard
Or maybe one, we think we know.

Songs of dreams not yet born
Some of those times gone past
Some like a passing fancy
Some to forever last.

At times they'll be silent
But we will always know
They will sing once again
Where’re the four winds blow.

Excellent 'write'!

I am especially fond of the beginning about those:

"wind chimes...

Not bound by our convention
...play(ing) the songs they please."

serious applause!!
