three spaces over from the road in a solemn resting space with straight stones in attention showing his final resting place soldier, father, one beloved unadorned with flowers fresh a world too busy quickly passes by he lies, still, so very, very still she reads the stone and wonders why she never knew the name in all the years that she loved and admired him and felt that love return and grow into her tears she never knew a man like him so charming, so friendly, so loving she misses now the time well spent as she recalls the glory of his living three spaces over from the road is a solemn resting space she weeps, and then a smile, he's there to keep a watch o'er this silent, lonely place --my daughter visited her grandfather's gravesite and called me later to share that experience; he lies three spaces from the road [This message has been edited by steavenr (10-06-2008 03:38 PM).] |

Such a mournful tone to this, and yet... peace, as it should be. Well done. |

Daddy, I smiled...then cried. I wrote one with the same title. I'll send it to you later. I love you so much, and I wish you could have been there with me too. |
