If you must take that stuff
then celebrate something.
Don't tell me that you need a pill
because you're so damned miserable
cryin' in yer beer.

You are here.
It's on the map.
An "x" upon the laby--
oh-dammit, you are on the path.

Celebrate something!

And-yes-I-know
I'm next to you.
Don't think that fact
did not occur

to me, or give a vague idea

to her

my shadow on the floor.

Celebrate some flippin' thing:

my shadow tells me she is bored

and yours is just sad company...

Let's celebrate some thing!

" Let's celebrate some thing "

Yes, let’s have a ball in the hole in the wall . ( I haven’t said that in years )

I wonder if I should tell you this , but “ Laby  ?“ is to downtown for me.

But that aside, I enjoyed your stuff..

*chuckling again this mornin'"

Sometimes I find inspiration just layin' 'round the house. *grins*

Uriah? Just cuz...

and chops? What a truly nice surprise. And my "laby", well, I have to confess that part was lifted directly from a conversation I'd just had, and I just didn't feel like explaining what a labyrinth was to the person to whom I was addressing. So I thought I'd keep that aspect in there, even though it's not, um, "high" art?

And downtown...well, this is N'awlins, so "downtown" is actually "uptown" and I live on the Westbank, which is actually east. Seriously. And people wonder why we're stoned...heh?

I hope my confused state explains my confusion. Thanks lovie, for popping in here though.

and just grinnin' at Kari...just...

because.

The ONLY predictable part of opening up a poem of yours is that there is a treat waiting for me.  EVERYTHING else about that treat is a surprise.  Yes, let's all celebrate something - no, let's celebrate lots and lots of things!  Like your new lease on life, Karen!  I am so happy for you that your operation has brought so much liberation.

I believe downtown New Orleans, is the lower levels and uptown is the floors above sea level.

Agree with the wit and surprizes.  Still laughing about the sideways smile.

The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked.

Thank you all so very much, yet again.

I'd love to stick around and read, but I have a date for a debate party tonight.

(Hey--they're serving up White Russians and I was promised we'd make construction paper antlers. )

Who could resist THAT?

Not I...

*chuckle*

Love and gratitude to all.

with kisses!

serenity blaze,

I love the shadows, especially dancing as they form upon the wall in moonlight. Smile, a shadow smiles with you...

Mag? If it was just about somethin' in my coffee, I'd be marketing mah haid and selling it at eight bucks a cup!

and shrug...I dunno what to tell you all about this one--it's neither here nor there on the issue of drugs.

It's just another reality based chronicle based on a conversation I had with someone who defended a bad habit by saying it made him happy--and he said this to me while he was stoned and near-tears.

It's not an indictment of anyone who needs meds because they are ill.

It's not even an indictment.

Just another day in the life of Josephine-Six-Pack!

*thanks all for reading*
