Mankind feels the need to shower or bathe each day. It causes me to wonder... what they strive to wash away? What other creature imagines such filth? No other carries such discontent. They remove contact with nature... then spray on nature's scent. Is it because of Man's TRUE Nature, buried deep beneath the dirt, that he scrubs away at the form of clay and sprays a fragrant squirt? You can scrub and you can scour with all your might, for what its worth. This water below will not uncover what lies beneath the earth. This action is not that of BEAST, although "beast" is now your prison. MAN must continue to till the ground, until the Son of Man has risen Much is told by the actions of those in death, who know it not, but strive to keep debris away from their precious private plot. Visit the tomb at dawning, in your ritual of grief, to wash and anoint the body of the dead that lies beneath. *** |

Most interesting poem, Uriah but it hasn't convinced me to give up bathing. Ida |

and this brought back a fond memory for me too. I had one of my moments of dim curiousity and asked my father, the farmer: "Where does dirt come from?" I can still hear him laughing, so thank you. and sheesh |
