it's Seven-thirty already
eyes open
like french doors rusted
and ready to bust clean off
their german hinges

the last place I want to go
is a mathematics class
I doubt I'll even make the drive
without falling back asleep

I hope the X-ray comes back
a perfect weld
with no ferocity
and the weld itself
refuses to break in tests

then I'd be able
to stop going to school
so terribly early

And take online courses.

The weld test I took at work (which will get me an eight dollar raise.... GO TEAM.) should be processed by next week.

Everyone had better be crossing their fingers! I'm sure I'll pass.

Thanks guys, I have to go to work today, and we'll see if they've finished it up yet, we can't know for sure just yet!

They x ray it, twist, pull it, bend it in all directions.

Let's hope the metal is more brittle than my fabulous weld!
