Thanks to all those who replied to my last poem, that one appeared all of a sudden and I just transcribed it as it was appearing in my mind, I enjoyed it very much and I'm Happy to know you all also enjoyed it.

A Coffee With Friends

Wiseman James
meets his most close friends
in the same bar
every once in a while

usually two or three of his friends
attend the meeting
where they would discuss many subjects

Wiseman James may be Wise
but he's not perfect
and often, talking to them
gives him another perspective
on certain issues

Wiseman James loves his friends
he'd do anything for them

he always remembers
how it all began
how did he met them all
when he was nothing but a loner
betrayed and forgotten
abandoned and left to rot away
in the tides of oblivion

They took him up
they gave him a reason to live
a reason to smile
and a reason to remember
that although he was in complete darkness
in the end there was a sparkling light
guiding him to the exit
guiding him to life

Wiseman James now lives happily
drinking coffee and discussing
different subjects
while smiling he would listen
and he would be listened

he would then go home
and do a small reflection
on everything he has learned
and put it into practice
the following day

A coffee with friends
that's what he needs
because Wiseman James may be wise
but to him, to have friends
and to respect them
is the only Wisdom
every man needs.

This is very beautiful, Denis. I agree that to sit and talk with friends is a precious gift. So many loners could heal in this way.

I like your insight to those who
appear to have no sight...

Sometimes we just have to listen
to our heart,

and our soul.

We need this wisdom just now.
