purse-ed lips parse melodies of mem’ries passed
like fleeting glances of bygone days recalled
and dustings of decipherings slip clean away
warming hearts with softened songs replayed

beckoning rhythmic verse sublime
by sightless measures in form and rhyme
pursuing songs we’ve heard so many times before
list’ning softly, caressing them in their sweet allure

parsing melodies of mem’ries passed
holding them close as long they last

As long as they last.  They echo and re-echo through my life.  Nicely done.
