              Partings

You walked into the setting
    sun
looking back only once,
(with a stranger’s face)
as the cold twilight
embraced your vanishing
    point…
and a stark, full-moonrise
shook the emptiness.

This works well.  Yes, that's the way it's done.  Some walk towards the rising sun.  They never go back.
