                              Poets

What  grand fools  chase every fine fading sunset
through the ghost-shadow clouds and moonlit wind,
(riding twilight hopes and gossamer dreams)
to hang on a fragile moment stolen from time,
in an attempt to catch just one infinitesimally
  fleeting glimpse
along the pathways of truth and eternity,
burning ever so brightly, but briefly…
meteors in the infinite void!

"(riding twilight hopes and gossamer dreams)"
Hey, that's where I spend much of my time these days, because reality bites!

Salman Rusdie tells us that "a poet's work is to name the unnameable, to point at frauds, to take sides, start arguments, shape the world, and stop it going to sleep." Formidable work, my friend. You, Midnitesun, Windwalker and Icebox do that very well. Thank you for this fine write.

Oh, to be such a Grand Fool.
One can only wish.
