Love won’t count the times you’re wrong Or harp on words now of regret But make you feel that you belong And of the wrongs forget Love holds more than just your heart It holds your hand in times of need It wipes the tears if they may start And helps you if you bleed Love is such a state of mind Of happiness that has no bounds Does listen and is all so kind And sings delightful sounds Love is such a dream and longing It’s essence something all desire To have its piece of true belonging Would let this hope retire |

Wonderful write, Rick, and as good an explanation of love that has ever been written. I think, however, that we as human beings can't really appreciate the true essence of love but poets such as yourself come very close. Lovely! Enjoyed! Helen |
