The imbecile whom I judge returns the idiocy, the poet whom I judge returns the poetry, the earth that I judge returns the dust, our thoughts are boomerangs.... But how to refrain nevertheless for sharing the world, not to throw boomerangs of feelings in the uncertainty of the big silvery emotional skies.... I remember my old auntie saying, "Don't say bad about others or the words will only come back on yourself." How your poem reminds me of her. You put it so well. Do not go gentle into that good night. |
