Felix wakes up March second,
he's now a big nine years of age.

The funny thing is
he doesn’t feel any
different.

He’s still hungry,
his old man’s still locked-up,
and his old lady’s still
hollering at him,
as usual.

She’s still not feeding him regular,
and that’s hard on his stomach,
which aches and aches,
as usual.

He figures that might be the reason
she’s always hollering at him
as usual.

He really does wish
he could make that
little problem go away.

He figures it’s not going
to be easy to do that.

Of course,
nothing’s easy around
his neighborhood.

It’s not an easy place
his neighborhood isn’t.

No, it’s not, not at all.

He doesn’t know what to do,
but he figures he better do something,
before he just dries up
and blows away in the cold wind,
coming through everywhere,
and all around the leaky house.

He thinks perhaps
if he had some money,
things could be a little different.

Then, at least, he could wrap his mouth
around a cheese steak sandwich.

He’s heard that just the ticket,
to warm you up.

Felix dreams about
all that he could do
if he only had some money.

Well, Felix was born in March (like Marchmadness) my birthday is the 12th, now I feel even closer to Felix. I think I understand him very well.

My goodness! I almost missed Felix's birthday! The operative word is "almost"!
~ 'Cause Earth Angel's here now!

I have just baked him a heavenly BD cake
and I have put several silver dollars
in it, as a surprise!
He can have several Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches and stuff his precious little face!

Note that there are fresh strawberries
on top of the cake! Lots of Vitamin C in them!
