She Had A Little Girl (I wrote this for a woman I met working at Walmart) |

This woman I met had all these pins attached to her smock she wore at Walmart - I commented on a pretty little angel pin... and she told me she wears it for the baby who died during child birth... and that made me think - I asked the childs name - She told me she named her Jenny.I went home, wrote this poem and brought back to her the next day. She hugged me, and cried. I hugged her back. She had a little girl who didn't have a chance to grow and be beautiful and to learn to dance She had a little girl as pretty as a rose she didn't have chance to wear pretty clothes She had a little girl who didn't last the birth her name was Jenny Lynn who she buried in the earth She had a little girl dressed in pretty lace with a pretty little smile on her pretty little face She had a little girl who was taken from day one she went to be an angel before her life had begun She had a little girl when she sleeps she sees her face at the night dreams seem real as she feels a warm embrace She had a little girl she holds within her heart as long as she breathes they'll never be apart |

This is great and very touching. She must be so happy to have something like this to remember her daughter by. |

This is heartbreaking even without the background, with it, it's merely beautiful. |

Lynn- How amazing it is when we take the time to honor the experiences of another. It's what makes us human and it's our greatest gift. Beautiful! Indigo |
