old oceans are soft gloves the worn by a lover kind that helped carry a dream bucket with half full hurry just when we needed another to dam up the never again when it was overfilled lonely they wrinkle their noses friendly understanding our heart sounds like an old dog's wagging when his head is down playful ready to be no better friend then a god without judgment needing only a petting worship on the mornings they bring tide candy salty sweet like a secret kiss and push the lingering down our shirts to make us itch for more until we have to turn around and face down our wanting to just hoping we can get up again finally coved, and mostly well healed _____________ daark |
