You didn’t seem to notice But I was always there Outside your door that was closed Of which you never opened Too consumed with your work Full of demands of others And none with my name on them Not that it mattered You didn’t think to say A word of kindness Or leave me with a smile To get me thru my day My heart can't live without a smile you know... Be kind at heart....for everyone you meet has their own battle to fight......... |

This one hurts, dear Roniece. It has a powerful impact. The world is so full of closed doors and closed hearts, causing much pain. You caught this situation well, I guess you have witnessed such a scene, but that it is not about you. Who would refuse a smile to you, who diffuses so much love and kindness? Hugs and smiles.
