She cares for tiny stones embedded within her withered body until the time when they are released to find their own place on the river's edge; to experience immeasurable rain drops, pounding waves; winds and sun, their own erosion, their evolution. When she can no longer provide life; when weathered from years of rains, winds and flowing waters; her remains are shaken free by passing seasons as sand descending gently covering the river's endlessly changing canvas. |
