When I Look In The Mirror...

When I look in the mirror,
what do I see;
that sure ain't an no angel
looking at back at me.

When I look in the mirror
how I do I feel;
that sure ain't happiness
yet why do I kneel.

When I look in the mirror
and see the bruise on my cheek;
I wonder why I stay
I guess I must be weak.

When I look in the mirror
and see the tears drops fall
I wonder why I even try
to scale that wall.

I tried to look in the mirror
but it was on the floor;
broken in a million pieces
and I wondered if I can take anymore.

I remember looking in the mirror
wishing I didn't see,
a girl with a wicked past
a girl just like me.

So, I stopped looking in the mirror
a long long time ago...
when I gave my pretenses
when I finally said No.

I'm not afraid to look in the mirror
I'm not a girl anymore...
I've grown to be a women
'cause walked out of that door.

When I look in the mirror
what do i see...
but woman with a past
a woman just like me.

Obviously a strong Lady we have here, poignant write Lynn, I am glad you had the courage to get out...You know, when you do have that baby, something tells me it will be a little girl .....
