At six-years-old,
Felix is a tough guy.

He roughs other kids up.

Felix’s Mom
is fine with that.

She tells Felix
not to worry about it.

It’s a bad neighborhood.

She knows Felix
will take care of himself,
and anyone
that cares about him.

He’s just that kind of kid.

Bobby

Dear RDB,

No Hon, you are not having a blond moment.  It's just that I'm a terrible one for telling lies.

Most poets do tell lies, every now and again--some more often than others.

the 'comment/replies' on the Felix story 'writes' often wax almost as 'interesting' as the tales themselves...

continuing applause for the Felix saga overall as well as this specific segment of it!

Dear TomMark,

The only lie that I have told in the Felix stories is the name "Felix".

Everything that has happened to Felix, has happened to me, Robert E. Jordan.

Everything that Felix has done, I, Robert E. Jordan have done.

Felix is a made-up name.

You're a good, kind, man Tom, and I consider you a good friend.

Robert E. Jordan

Secondhanddreampoet,

Thanks my friend, for your kind words.  I'm pleased the stories, which really arn't made-up, work for you.

Bobby

I figured the Felix tales were autobiographical but was unsure until now to what extent. I am not at this point going to say the obvious (Sorry) because I do not think you post these excellent stories to get the 'sympathy' vote. I believe my friend, you are showing the ones who tried to take something away from Felix ( his childhood /innocence etc) that they failed big time because Felix was & is a streetwise smart cookie. That is all to apparent above in the latest instalment...write the Book Bobby.

My very best to you,

John

Felix is a product of his environment...if you are raised in a tough neighborhood you have to be tough...James

James,

You are absolutely correct.  That's the way it is, otherwise, you can become spiritually dead.  Felix has seen that happen too.

Ida,

Both Felix and I have seen someone spiritually die.  It's not at all pretty.  First you stop talking.  Then you react to everything in fear, and start crying if someone looks at you.  Some are mercifully sent away.

Felix and I always go out of our way to help, and support such people.  It's not their fault.  We’re all in this thing together.

Bobby
