As I look upon the future, Displayed proudly on a piece of paper. Sweet Valentine, is slowly coming, A day of misused conception. Breathe deep, and taste the air of lust, Of love lost to dreams, and foolish speed. To quick to find, to search the beach for gems. Content with treasure not for you, and hurting in the end. As I lean back into my chair, and plan to enjoy my week, I remind you and I, that Love is hard sought, for well intent. For Love is a thing meant to be forged and melded To shape the souls involved into a blissful state. Whist finished and polished at last, The hardening fires, now stir their love nay more. And torrential tidal waves strike hard, But do little, to move those truly in love. |

quote: Lack of love - a partner in this case - is often perceived as infinite solitude, so even only flickers of the "great light" are welcomed, along with the dreams of "true love"... No doubt, St. Valentines has its commercial aspects, but I think every little sign of love will be well received and given. Love should be celebrated every day of course. A well written piece, Thalen. Margherita |
