SIXTH DREAM
17 April 2007

I had recently asked you
for a sign
that you hear me
talking to you
and in reply,
you sent me
the fifth dream
and I knew.

But your love and understanding
goes way beyond the extra mile
and that wasn’t enough for you
and so you sent me
the next miracle dream.

This time, because you couldn’t
give me a real horse
to bond with
you gave me a dream-horse instead.

The horse was also a bay,
this time with a blaze.
He was a thoroughbred,
but instead of being head-shy,
he held his head still,
in fact, he bowed it
so I could reach him better,
and he let me pat and kiss
and hug him
and explain about you
and whisper sweet somethings
- whispers to animals are never
sweet nothings.
It was as though
he was being very benignly tolerant
and affectionately understanding of my loss.

My miracle angel-horse,
you are my love and my strength.

- Owl

Thank you, Sea.  I am glad you also feel that way.

Thank you, Margherita.  Yes, it is wonderful to have this dream connection.

Is it a guardian to help you sent from Flicka to your dreams?  Very nice Diana, very moving.

Very beautiful Diana.
You have been so blessed to have such connections with your animal family.

It is the special person who has this kind
of awareness and sensitivity.

My only connection to a horse was a ride that went badly when a teenager and the horse and I both got lost on the trail~~ my fault~~ no one told me if I just le tthe reigns go he would have taken me back to the stables.  Beautiful animals

Thank you, Debby.  No, not a guardian, but a horse to talk to (especially about Flicka) during my dream which was firstly very comforting - and secondly as a sign (in response to my request to Flicka) sent to me from Flicka to say that he, Flicka, hears me talking to him.

Yann, you don't know just how right you are!  There is another poem coming a little later which follows on from this one - you will know if you read it - I refer to this poem in that poem - which will show you just how right you are!

Thank you Rich, for your very kind, special Richy-words.  Yes, I have indeed been very, very blessed.

I know EXACTLY what you mean, Dixie.  I think you will enjoy the poem I mentioned to Yann, two messages above this.  Thank you for understanding how I feel about Flicka.

Thanks, Maureen.  They are indeed very beautiful, noble, soulful animals.  I am sorry that your only connection with horses was a scary one.  Flicka would have fixed that.  You would have loved him and he would have loved you, although he wasn't always easy to ride.

Heng, I am glad you pondered over that thought.  It is very true.

Thank you all for letting me talk about Flicka so freely, yet again.

I believe animals live on after passing. We will see them again.

My dear Diana, that is such a heart warming post my dear, for I'm sure when you whisper to animals they realize what you are trying to say to them and they respod accordingly.
Great Poem . Love

Garapan, I didn't see your message before.  Thanks to Lindsay, I saw it today.  Yes, KNOW what you said is true!

Thanks, Lindsay.  Yes, they understand EXACTLY what I am saying.  However, I am not as fluent in ANIMAL (and its various dialects of HORSE, CAT, DOG, BIRD, COW, GOAT, SNAKE, INSECT etc) as they are in HUMAN!  But, I don't do too badly, especially in HORSE, CAT AND DOG!  I have been called Dr Doolittle on several occasions!

Diana,

quote:
He was a thoroughbred,
but instead of being head-shy,
he held his head still,
in fact, he bowed it
so I could reach him better,
and he let me pat and kiss
and hug him
and explain about you

this was what I had hoped to do in Hawaii, with dolphins, as you know. I guess I'll just have to go back, and try again.

I've known a horse like this...but it was decades ago. Someday, or in my next life, it will happen.

Yes, Karilea, I know that was what you wanted to do with the dolphins, and I know AND AM SO PLEASED that you will go back again to do so and I can't wait for that to happen partly for your pleasure (which is also mine) and partlyso that I can selfishly live that vicariously.

Flicka and I are even happier that you knew a horse like that.  We know that your life is richer and even more magical because of that wonderful horse.
